Since the government’s announcement on Monday evening we have been monitoring the situation on a daily basis and trying to manage following the government’s advice on keeping our customers in the construction industry supplied and most importantly the welfare of our colleagues.
Having had time to reflect on the situation we now feel that the challenges of continuing to operate are so difficult that the right course of action is to prioritise the welfare of our staff and their families and to support the exceptional work of our NHS and other key workers over all other considerations. Therefore, we are closing the trading side of our business with immediate effect until further notice.
Please continue to place your orders in the normal way via email, fax, EDI or via our portal. We have a team of staff working remotely who are available to upload your orders in readiness for commencement of trading and to take your calls on our existing lines.
Also, we have a team of volunteers prepared to work to enable us to continue supporting the government by supplying any essential items needed by them to assist in stopping the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
We are actively working to manage the changing environment we all now face to enable us to serve you over the coming months and will update you.
We would like to put on record our thanks to all our staff for their hard work and dedication during these last two very difficult and challenging weeks.
We will continue to monitor government advice on a daily basis and be guided by this as to when it is safe and right to re-open.
