Carriage Paid Orders
The minimum carriage paid order value is £500.00 nett excepting the following areas, where the minimum carriage paid order value is £1000.00 nett.
Norfolk; Suffolk; Somerset; Cornwall; Devon; South Wales; Scotland; Northern Ireland*; Eire*
*Due to increased haulage costs, all deliveries to Northern Ireland & Eire are subject to a 5% surcharge on list prices.
If you are unable to satisfy the minimum order value criteria, by prior arrangement and subject to 24 hours notice, goods may be collected from our central distribution warehouse in Leeds.
Payment Terms
For established accounts, cheques can be collected by the driver.
All new accounts are required to pay either pro-forma or strictly on a cash on delivery basis. Once the new account is more established, cheques will be accepted on delivery.
All deliveries are booked in and the payment amount advised.
In the event of payment being withheld, goods will be brought back to LPD and a re-delivery charge of £50-00 per pallet will be levied.
On successful completion of the first 3 transactions, application can be made for a 30 day credit facility.
Bounced cheques will incur a £10.00 charge and all future transactions will be conducted on a cash only basis.
Deliveries
Customers must have good access and the ability to park
a 40’ articulated lorry within close proximity to the delivery point is a pre-requisite.
Please advise if your premises are subject to any parking restrictions in order that alternative delivery instructions
can be pre-arranged as necessary. Drivers operate unaccompanied so may require help offloading.
Company policy forbids drivers from leaving their vehicles unattended and accordingly they are not permitted to assist with moving items to storage areas away from the stipulated delivery point. All our vehicles operate on a multi-drop basis, therefore we are unable to give exact delivery times, however we can normally confirm a specific delivery day.
A charge of £50.00 per pallet will be levied in the event of an aborted delivery resulting from non-compliance by the customer with any of the above conditions.
After Sales Service
Should you have a query on your delivery, please notify us in writing within 3 working days of the delivery date and when contacting us have your delivery note/invoice number to hand.
If you wish to exchange a product, please endeavour to return it to us in the original packaging and the same condition in which it was received. Any replacement/collection of goods will normally be actioned on your next delivery. We will only accept returns where it is due to manufacturers’ fault or damage caused by LPD. Any returns due to damage resulting from customer misuse will be returned directly to the customer and credit denied.
Given the scale of our telesales operation and the volume of calls handled, to enable us to provide the best possible customer service, it is vital when speaking to our Sales team regarding your query that you record the name of the relevant sales person in order that your query can subsequently be efficiently tracked by any team member.
